Problem-Based Learning Courses
Pacific EMPRINTS is the only provider of online Problem-Based Learning (PBL) cases based on real-life scenarios that healthcare providers can access to better visualize how various bioterrorism and emerging infectious disease threats might present themselves. These courses are modified versions of PBL cases that have previously been completed by multidisciplinary groups of healthcare students and professionals. Problem-Based Learning is a process of self-directed learning through identification and research of issues relevant to particular disciplines. Below is a complete, alphabetical listing of all PBL courses. For detailed course descriptions, please click on the course title.
As with the rest of Pacific EMPRINTS’ distance learning offerings, online Problem-Based Learning courses are free*, and a Certificate of Completion is available to be printed for these courses, upon completion of the appropriate post-test with a score of 80% or higher. In addition, AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are available for all PBL online courses through the Center for Continuing Medical Education at the Yale School of Medicine.
